About Hunting AXS
Hunting AXS is a bowhunter-written arrow and broadhead review magazine. We shoot every arrow through our reference 65 lb Hoyt RX-7 at 28 in draw. We spin-test every broadhead on a Ram spin tester. We flight-test every broadhead against a field point at 20, 40, and 60 yards before we score it. We field-test where we have a tag.
Editorial standards
Every review names at least two shortcomings. Every review carries a field-hours stamp or a marked desk-only flag. Every writer’s home range and years-drawing-a-bow are on the byline. We do not run affiliate programs and we buy the gear we test at retail.
How we test
Read the full methodology page. Short version: consistent reference rig, spin testing, paper tuning, walk-back tuning, 20/40/60 yd flight testing, real hunt logs. Every arrow gets a minimum of 60 shots before we publish. Every broadhead gets a minimum of 30.
