Field performance
Common heavy-FOC build: Spartan 300, 100 gr up front, 465 to 490 grain finished, 16 to 17 percent FOC. This is the arrow Rokslide reaches for when the target is elk, moose, or hogs and penetration is the whole discussion.
Common complaints
Trade-off is speed: the Spartan is a heavy shaft with heavy components, so a 65 lb bow at 28 in draw makes 260 to 265 fps with a full FOC build. If you shoot flat trajectory whitetail out of a treestand, that is fine. If you shoot open-country mule deer at unknown yardages, that is not fine.

Heavy-KE hunters, tradition-of-Ranch-Fairy shooters, and anyone hunting elk or larger with a bow under 70 lb draw weight.
