Victory VAP TKO Review

Victory VAP TKO Review

Bottom line

The VAP TKO is Victory’s micro-diameter hunting shaft with a Shok titanium insert system. Lighter than an Axis 4mm at the same spine, priced under Easton’s premium micros, and quieter off the string than most .204 hunting shafts. Best for hunters who want penetration and a fast, flat trajectory.

Where it fits

Long range spot and stalk or western open country hunting. The narrow profile drifts less in wind, and 8.7 GPI at 350 spine keeps finished arrow weight flexible. Elk builds at 30 inches with 100 grain brass insert plus 125 grain broadhead land at 466 grains and 16 percent FOC.

Common complaints

The Shok insert can spin loose in cold weather. Iron Will 4mm collars are the aftermarket fix; Ethics Archery half-outs also work. Nocks are proprietary and shops stock them thin; buy replacements at the same time as the shafts.

What forum users say

TKO Elite at .001 straightness with a 100 grain brass insert is the closest thing to an Axis 4mm at 70 percent of the price.
