Gold Tip
Gold Tip has built carbon hunting arrows in Orem, Utah since 1994. Vista Outdoor acquired the brand in 2015; the manufacturing line stayed in Utah. Gold Tip runs its own pultrusion and cures shafts in-house rather than sourcing raw carbon like many mid-tier brands do.
Brand ethos and manufacturing
The value line (Hunter, Hunter XT) built the brand; the Kinetic and Airstrike lines moved it into the premium fight. Gold Tip factory-sorts every dozen for weight within 2 grains and every shaft for straightness before it ships. Nock rotation uses the proprietary Uni-Bushing system, bonded not press-fit.

Common complaints
Straightness tolerance at the base Hunter (plus or minus .006) is looser than same-price Easton or Victory offerings. Weight sort below the Pierce tier is plus or minus 2 grains, versus Axis Match Grade’s plus or minus 0.5. For most hunters inside 40 yards that gap does not matter; for 60 yard elk shooters it does.
