Bowtech Archery
Bowtech was founded in 1999 by Kevin Strother in Eugene, Oregon. The brand introduced the DeadLock cam adjustment system, which lets a shooter horizontally shim the cam to center-shot without a bow press. Manufacturing is still in Eugene under the parent Bowtech Inc. umbrella (also includes Diamond Archery).
Brand ethos and manufacturing
DeadLock cam and Orbit Dampers are the proprietary systems. DeadLock lets shooters correct arrow lean at the cam without adjusting a rest, which is a real tuning advantage. Orbit Dampers absorb post-shot vibration through the limb pocket rather than the string. Every Bowtech compound is machined 7075 aluminum riser.

Warranty and forum reputation
Lifetime warranty on riser, limbs, and cams to the original owner. Rokslide shooters routinely name the SR350’s DeadLock system as the fastest way to get a clean paper tune out of a treestand hunter who does not own a bow press. Eugene customer service handles cam and limb warranties in one week or less on defect returns.
Common complaints
The DeadLock adjustment is powerful but also easy to move accidentally; ArcheryTalk regulars note that a set screw check before every hunt is the price you pay. Dealer network is thinner than Hoyt or Mathews, especially in the Midwest; ordering direct requires shipping to a local shop that will press and set the bow up.
