Elite Archery
Elite Archery was founded in 2005 in Grand Junction, Colorado and now manufactures in Rome, New York. The brand built its reputation on shootability rather than speed, running the industry’s smoothest draw cycles at the cost of 5 to 10 fps on IBO speeds. Every Elite compound uses the SP cam system now on its third major generation.
Brand ethos and manufacturing
Shootability first. Elite’s SP cam and MicroMod system prioritize a smooth draw cycle and a hard back-wall over top-end speed. Grip fit is documented as the most neutral in the industry (Rokslide grip threads). All machining is done in Rome, New York.

Warranty and forum reputation
Lifetime warranty on riser, limbs, and cams to the original owner. Rome customer service response is documented in ArcheryTalk threads as one of the fastest in the industry (48 hour email turnaround). Elite’s Simplified Exact Positioning (SEP) tuning marks on the risers reduce dealer-tune variance.
Common complaints
IBO speed sits 5 to 10 fps below Hoyt, Mathews, and PSE flagships at the same brace and ATA. For a fixed-point hunter that speed gap is not a real issue inside 50 yards; for a slider single-pin shooter at 70 yards it does add pin spacing. Dealer network is thinner than Hoyt or Mathews, especially outside the Northeast.
