Rage Broadheads
Rage Broadheads was founded in 2005 by Barrie Archery, later acquired by FeraDyne Outdoors in Superior, Wisconsin. Rage brought the rear-deploy mechanical broadhead into the mainstream: blades stay tucked behind the shaft profile in flight, then sweep backward and open on impact, delivering a large 2 inch entry hole with field-point flight.
Brand ethos and manufacturing
Rear-deploy Slip-Cam blades and the shock-collar retention system. The original Rage O-ring drew complaints for years; FeraDyne switched to the current shock-collar retention in the Trypan and Hypodermic lines, which resolved most of the early premature deployment complaints.

Warranty and forum reputation
FeraDyne replaces broken blades free on defect returns. Rokslide whitetail threads still credit the Rage 2 inch entry hole as the best blood trail in the category on a broadside double-lung shot. The Hypodermic tip has resolved most of the shoulder-blade deflection complaints that hit the original Rage 2-blade.
Common complaints
The O-ring retention history follows the brand. Older Rage 2-blade heads had documented premature-deployment reports (blade opens in the quiver or on release), which is why FeraDyne moved the line to the shock-collar system. Mechanical broadheads are also illegal for archery seasons in Idaho and Oregon; check your state before you buy. Bone penetration on elk shoulder is measurably worse than a fixed head.
