Muzzy Broadheads
Muzzy Products was founded in 1984 by John Musacchia in Cartersville, Georgia. The brand introduced the affordable three-blade fixed broadhead category with the original Muzzy 100 and dominated whitetail archery through the 1990s. Now part of FeraDyne Outdoors alongside Rage and Carbon Express.
Brand ethos and manufacturing
Value-tier trocar-tip three and four-blade fixed heads with replaceable blades. Muzzy Trocar uses a chisel tip designed to punch through bone; Muzzy Bowfishing heads are the reference standard for bowfishing (barbed carp points). Manufacturing is Wisconsin under the FeraDyne umbrella since the 2016 acquisition.

Warranty and forum reputation
FeraDyne replaces broken blades and damaged ferrules on defect returns. ArcheryTalk value threads treat Muzzy as the entry point into serious hunting broadheads: reliable, cheap, and the Trocar 100 has 30 years of whitetail recovery data behind it.
Common complaints
Blade thickness (.035) is on the thin side compared to modern premium heads (Iron Will and Cutthroat run .050 or thicker). Multiple Rokslide threads note that Trocar blades bend on rib contact more than a solid-steel Iron Will or G5 Striker would. The Muzzy edge is sharp out of the pack but does not hold as long through practice into hunt.
